In the light of the recent crackdown by the Chinese armed forces on Tibetans living in Kham Driru region of Tibet, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress and Students for a Free Tibet in Dharamsala, India organized a solidarity march by raising hundreds of Tibetan flags in the streets of Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala on October 9, 2013.
Tenzin Kalden, a Tibetan from Driru spoke about the present situation in Driru since the incidence occurred . Dorjee Tsetan, Asia Director of Student for Free Tibet said the Driru case and self-immolations are examples of the spirit of Tibetans inside Tibet to bring freedom and the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet. “We should never lose hope despite Chinese power. Driru is at the moment disconnected from outside world and is under lockdown,” Tsetan further added.
