A Chinese artist living in America has created a 'Tibet Burning Sculpture' to show his solidarity with the Tibetan self-immolators. The sculpture, which has currently reached Delhi, is expected to unveil in Dharamsala, North India on March 10, 2014 to commemorate the 55th Tibetan Uprising Day.
Chen Weiming, a Chinese sculptor born in Hangzhou, China is a well-known sculptor and newspaper publisher who has been awarded with various certificates and prizes for his creativity. Chen was also responsible for producing statues of 'Free Way of Tibet' in New York on March 10 2009, which was later exhibited in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taiwan. The sculpture was then moved and permanently placed in Dharamsala, the Indian home of Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.
With his latest sculpture, Weiming hopes that Xi Jinping, the Chinese Prime Minister would let the Tibetans live their culture and religion, which would not only provide happiness for the Tibetans, but also ensure China's prosperity.
