The Tibetan Center for Conflict Resolution based in Dharamsala, India organized a four day workshop on August 22, 2013 on the topic of women empowerment at the Imperial Heights Resort, Khunyara, Dharamsala to 20 Tibetan women participants from the northern states of India.
Nangsa Choedon, the only female secretary in the Central Tibetan Administration was the chief guest of the opening function. Choedon shared her life experiences with the participants and talked about the significance of women empowerment within the Tibetan society.
Karma Lekshay, director of the Tibetan Center for Conflict Resolution conducted a presentation on the center’s background, work, and goals.
