Professor Tenzin Dorjee Talk at Sarah Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (In Tibetan)


Sarah Institute of Tibetan Higher Studies, Dharamsala, India organized a talk by Professor Tenzin Dorjee of California state University, Fullerton, USA on July 18, 2013 to the faculties and students of the Sarah Institute.

During the morning program, Professor Dorjee spoke to the faculties on "Teaching Pedagogy: An American Education perspective" where he explained in detail about the methods, objectives, philosophy, setting exam, and assignments in the American universities. The teachers shared their experiences and exchanged ideas to overcome the differences in the eastern and western education.

In the afternoon, Dorjee spoke to a hall packed students on "Multiple Perspectives to Understand Identity, Culture & Communication in Tibetan Diaspora," which was well received by the students sharing their experiences and doubts.

Professor Tenzin Dorjee is currently on a two month visit to Dharamsala at the request of Gaden Podrang office. During his spare time, he gives talks on research, translation, communication, and teaching methods at different organizations and institutions in Dharamsala.
