On June 26, 2013, 300 Tibetan doctors and intellectuals gathered at the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute in Dharamsala, India to participate in the first Body, Mind, and Life conference.
The conference aims to contribute towards the physical and mental well-being of human beings by integrating the essence of both oriental and occidental culture.
The conference would be held for three days from June 26 to June 28, where twenty different speakers from the Tibetan and western medical astrology field would conduct debates and deliberation with the participants, concerning the preservation of the ancient Tibetan system of medicine, astronomy, and astrology while understanding and integrating the philosopies of western medicine.
