China has detained a Tibetan woman for writing politically motivated articles on the internet on August 13, 2014.
Dawa Tsomo, a Tibetan writer originally from Chiza Sachen Village in Zatoe County, Yushul Prefecture was arrested by the Chinese officials in Zatoe County with the accusation that she wrote politically driven articles, claiming that disobeyed China's internet laws.
Tsomo has written articles related to the conditions of Tibetans inside Kyekudo after a devastating earthquake that hit the area, and local Chinese official's negligence towards administering the needs of Tibetans, among many others.
Tsomo's current whereabouts and conditions are unknown.
China has continuously targeted and arrested Tibetan writers, singers, environmentalists, and intellectuals to enforce crackdown inside Tibet.
Over 130 Tibetans in Tibet since 2009 have self immolated to protest China's repressive policies towards Tibetans.
